# GuideToGood
> Who can help, and how to reach them. A free directory of 320 places in Toronto, Ontario and Canada: scholarships and bursaries, government benefits, free job help, volunteer hours for high school students, programs for young people, help with rent and housing, food banks, free legal help, someone to talk to, health care, help for newcomers and seniors, and free help for small businesses. Each entry gives the public way to reach the organization and whether that way worked for people who tried it.

Every fact was read from the organization's own pages on the date given in `seen`. Entries past their re-check window are marked `stale: true`. Nothing is guessed.

## What is in an entry
name, what it is, who it is for, cost, place, topics, `deadline` and `status` (open or closed, worked out on the day you ask), `routes` (the public ways to reach them: application form, contact form, organization email, office phone, volunteer page, website), `primaryRoute` (try this first), `channels` (their online pages), `languages`, `checked`, `stale`, `sources`, and `signals`: how many people said a way in worked or got no answer, with the date of the last report.

## Rules
Public, organization-level facts only. No private person's email or phone number. Private group invite links are never published, only how to join through the admin. Results are paged and there is no bulk download. Canada's anti-spam law applies to whoever sends a message.

## Please
Pass on the `seen` date and the `source` link with any fact you quote, and say so when an entry is `stale`. Compare any deadline with today's date: once it has passed, that round is closed, and the person can ask the organization when the next one opens. If a user tells you a way in did not work, send them to that organization's page so they can tap "No answer".
