York University entrance scholarships and bursaries (Fall 2027 entry)

York gives an automatic entrance scholarship of $1,000 to $3,500 based on your final admission average, plus entrance awards and bursaries you apply for in MyFile, such as the Bennett First Generation, Bennett Family Jane and Finch, and Bennett Family Black and Indigenous Students awards ($7,500 a year for 4 years) and an Indigenous entrance bursary ($2,200 a year for 4 years).

Automatic scholarship: no application. Apply-for awards: the Scholarships and Awards link opens in MyFile on December 1; Governors' Awards of Distinction close February 15, 2027, faculty awards February 20, 2027, and most others (Bennett awards, entrance bursaries) April 1, 2027.

For whomAutomatic (no form): domestic high school applicants with a final admission average of 80% or more (80 to 84.9% gets $1,000, 85 to 89.9% $1,500, 90 to 94.9% $2,000, 95% and up $3,500), renewable with an 8.0 GPA over at least 24 credits; apply-for awards: anyone who has applied to York (no offer needed), with awards for first-generation students, Jane and Finch residents, Black and Indigenous students and students in financial need.
